Participation in Community Needs Assessment leading to implementation of "Chelan Douglas Counties Trends" website launch in November, 2008
Assisted in raising $109,000 in funding for the Community Foundation of NCW's "Chelan Douglas Counties Trends" project.
Formed a new Resource and Information Center Steering Committee to work on structure and partnership with North Central Regional Library.
Received a $15,000 Ready for QRIS grant from the Washington State Department of Early Learning
Nearly 200 Early Learning professionals and parents attended the two-day Embracing Early Childhood Conference in Wenatchee
Received a $3,000 planning grant for Family Friends and Neighbors (FFN) care.
Grant funds available at Wenatchee Valley College for low-income students to cover tuition, fees, books and supplies for 45 credits in Early Childhood Education program
123 child care providers/Head Start staff completed credits of Early Childhood Education coursework at Wenatchee Valley College through the Building Bridges with Higher Education project
Wenatchee Valley College received $120,000 grant from Thrive by Five Washington to implement the READY! For Kindergarten program in partnership with 6 school districts
Received a $15,000 grant from the Foundation for Early Learning to help fund the planning phase to bring kindergarten teachers and staff from Early Learning community programs together to ensure a seamless transition for children entering kindergarten.
Approximately 10,000 community members have been reached through theBorn Learning campaign.
Establishment of BOOST Mentoring Program (in conjunction with Readiness To Learn) with 3 year funding of approximately $75,000/year from the DOE.
Bank of America $7,000 grant for support of the BOOST Mentoring Program
Ongoing funds from C-D Health District for support assessment & administrative coordination efforts.
